Traffic stop turns into short police chase in Owings Mills

Baltimore County police are searching for a third person who bailed out of a stolen vehicle that led officers on a brief pursuit in Owings Mills Saturday morning, a department spokeswoman said.

During a traffic stop just before 10 a.m. in the 4800 block of Simonds Drive, between Upper Mill Drive and Sherwood Farm Road, the vehicle eluded from police, said spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Peach.

Three people bailed out, fleeing on foot, Peach said. Two of the suspects were in police custody Saturday morning, she said, while officers continue to search for the third.

Numerous officers responded to the town home community, including K-9 units and a police helicopter.
