A man has been charged and a woman is recovering after a shooting in Sunday morning in Lochearn, Baltimore County police said.
Police said Shamar Sheldon Walcott, 30, and a woman got into an argument at a home in the 3700 block of Essex Road when Walcott shot the woman once in the upper body.
Walcott drove her to a local hospital, where police were called at 9:40 a.m. Police said the victim is in good condition.
Walcott, of 3700 block of Essex Road, has been arrested and was charged with attempted first-degree murder and related charges. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.
The county's violent crimes unit is investigating.
Walcott does not have an attorney listed in online court records. He was charged last year with second-degree assault. That charge was placed on the "stet," or inactive docket, court records show.
