A woman was shot in Rosedale late Tuesday night, causing an hourlong lockdown at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center nearby, police said.
Officers were called about 11:30 p.m. to the 9000 block of Franklin Square Drive, where the woman was found across the street from a bus stop with wounds to her upper body, police said.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment, and her condition is unknown, police said.
Police were searching for the suspect after midnight, but as of Wednesday morning, they said they had no suspect or motive in the case.
The shooting appeared to be targeted, police said, and there is no ongoing threat to the community or the hospital.
