Increased reward offered for tips on Towson University student's 2009 murder

Metro Crime Stoppers have increased the award for information leading to an arrest in the 2009 homicide of Towson University student Daniel Coverston, who was found shot dead in his Towson apartment. (Handout photo)

Metro Crime Stoppers is now offering $15,000 in reward money for information about the 2009 murder of a Towson University student.

Daniel Coverston, 22, was found fatally shot in the head in his Lachlan Circle apartment in Towson on February 14, 2009. He was last seen alive was the day before.

Coverston was completing his Athletic Training Education Program at Towson's department of kinesiology.

Police haven't been able to identify any suspects.
