Balto. Co. police vehicle crashes near headquarters

A Baltimore County police vehicle collided with a civilian's vehicle near department headquarters in Towson this afternoon.

The crash occurred at about 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Goucher Boulevard and Providence Road, said police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter, adding that he could see the wreck from his office at headquarters. Three officers were in the police vehicle.

Wachter said no one in either vehicle appeared to be seriously injured, but said the officers were going to the hospital.

"They're just going to get checked out," he said.

No further details were immediately available. Wachter said the crash team is investigating.
