Two men will be charged with killing a Baltimore County man in the hallway outside his apartment during an attempted robbery earlier this month, police said.
Police have arrest warrants for Ryan Jamal Burris, 20, and Donte Leon Dunbar, 19, both of Baltimore, in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Seydina Oumar Soumagel on Jan. 13.
Soumagel was found by officers in the hallway of the Balmoral Towers on Liberty Road, suffering from at least one gunshot, police said. Detectives said the victim was targeted.
Burris, of the 800 block of North Payson St. in the city's Midtown-Edmondson neighborhood, and Dunbar, of the 1600 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway, are be being held in Baltimore on unrelated charges.
Court records show Dunbar was arrested last week for theft, malicious destruction of property, burglary and related charges for an incident on Dec. 28.
Burris is also charged by Baltimore police on burglary charges related to an incident on Jan. 9, online records show. He also was arrested last week. He previously received a month-and-a-half sentence in September on a handgun charge.
