Man, 21, charged in Halethorpe stabbing

A 21-year-old Halethorpe man has been charged in a Sept. 3 stabbing that left a man injured, Baltimore County police said.

Jason Edwin Bewley, of the 3100 block of Ryerson Circle, faces attempted first-degree murder and related charges, police said. His charges were not uploaded to the online state database as of Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 3200 block of Ryerson Circle, where they found a 22-year-old stabbed in the upper body, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to survive.

Bewley is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $250,000 bail, police said. No phone number was listed for his home, and no attorney was listed for him in court records.

The stabbing happened during an argument in the back yard of a home in the block, police said.
