Baltimore County Police have arrested two people in connection with a weekend shooting in Halethorpe that injured a teenage boy.
Keith Gerrard Jay, 28, of Baltimore's Frankford neighborhood, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and use of a firearm during a felony.
Ebony Dashaye Giddins, 23, of Halethorpe, is charged with accessory after the fact.
Both were being held Tuesday morning at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
According to police, a 15-year-old boy was approached by Jay on Saturday afternoon at the basketball courts at Baltimore Highlands Elementary School, 4200 Annapolis Road in Halethorpe. As the boy ran from the courts, he was shot once.
Jay then left the area in a car driven by Giddins, police said.
Police believe that Jay targeted the boy, but they have not offered a motive for the shooting. The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information can call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
