Woman tried to burn down boyfriend's Owings Mills home, police said

A woman is charged with attempted murder after Baltimore County police said she threw gasoline on her boyfriend and tried to burn down his home.

Police said Lisa Lashell Finley threw gasoline on her boyfriend, and then held a lighter and told him that she was going to kill him Sunday. He then ran from the home in the 10800 block of Sherwood Hill Road in Owings Mills and called police just before 5 p.m.

The victim told police that when he returned to the home, he found a fire inside. It was extinguished by a sprinkler system.

Finley, 29, of the 700 block of Delafield Street in Washington, D.C., is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree arson and first-degree assault.

She turned herself in at the Franklin Precinct Monday afternoon and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. She did not have an attorney listed in online court records.
