A woman caught shoplifting at a Catonsville Giant tried to hide in the ceiling of the store but was later caught Tuesday night, Baltimore County police said.
Officers were called just before 3 p.m. to the grocery store in the 4600 block of Wilkens Avenue for a shoplifting call. The officers were told the woman tried to flee, climbed on top of some items, and hid in an area above the ceiling, police said.
The store closed until police found her and took her into custody just after 10 p.m.
Police did not name the woman Tuesday. She was taken to the Wilkens Precinct for processing.
