A 60-year-old woman was found with fatal stab wounds at the Eastpoint Mall parking lot Saturday afternoon, Baltimore County Police said.
Police identified the victim as Malia Delores Wagner. She lived across Eastern Avenue from the mall.
After revewing video footage, detectives determined that she had been targeted by her attacker, police said.
Officers were called at about 1 p.m. about a woman who appeared injured in the parking lot, police said. The woman had multiple stab wounds to her upper body, police said. She was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and pronounced dead.
"This is a very violent crime," police spokesman Shawn Vinson said.
