Baltimore County police investigating homicide in White Marsh

Baltimore County police are investigating a homicide in the 11400 block of Philadelphia Road in White Marsh, according to a Wednesday morning tweet from the department.

At about 7:50 a.m., an individual driving along Philadelphia Road spotted what they initially thought was a Halloween decoration in the parking lot of what once was the Rustic Inn, said Officer Jennifer Peach, a county police spokesperson. The person doubled back, and that’s when they discovered and reported the body, Peach said.

“There is some type of undetermined trauma to the body,” Peach said, “But it is so early in the investigation right now that we really don’t have any information that we can put out. I just left the scene and we were still waiting for the medical examiner to show up.”

The body was located in a corner of the parking lot —which is somewhat obscured by overgrown trees and shrubs — far from the road, Peach said.
