A 33-year-old man was shot to death at an apartment complex in Rossville on the eastern side of Baltimore County Saturday night, police said.
Lamont Taylor, 33, was shot to death after arriving home just after 9 p.m. at the Eagles Walk Apartments on Leatherwood Place by a gunman who fled the scene, police said.
Taylor’s family could not immediately be reached Sunday.
He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police did not provide a motive or suspect description. Homicide detectives are investigating, and anyone with information in the case is asked to call 410-307-2020.
A neighbor, Shawn Williams, said he left home for a friend’s graduation party Saturday night and returned to find the parking lot of his apartment building blocked by police tape, forensics vans and a fire truck called to hose blood off the sidewalk.
Williams, 30, and his girlfriend moved to Eagles Walk in February, and they have already lived there for a shooting and a barricade at another of the nearby buildings on March 30, he said.
“It’s terrible,” he said. “After what happened yesterday, she’s going to make us move. ... She doesn’t feel safe. We’ll figure it out.”
Hirschfeld Homes, which owns Eagles Walk, did not respond to a request for comment Sunday.
