Baltimore police car vandalized in McElderry Park

A marked Baltimore police patrol car was vandalized during a house call in Southeast Baltimore's McElderry Park neighborhood Monday night.

The car, parked in the 200 block of N. Lakewood Ave. in front of William Paca Elementary School at about 10 p.m., had the letters "DDH" and "FDL" sprayed in black on all four sides. The rear passenger side door was dented.

Many on social media claimed the letters stood for "Down Da Hill" and "[expletive] The Law."

Police said in a statement that they were investigating the damage and asked anyone with information to contact them. The phone number for the Southeastern District is 410-396-2422.
