Two shot in Baltimore; one dies on the scene

Two men were shot Friday in Baltimore in separate incidents, leaving one dead and sending the other to the hospital.

Police were called to the 800 block of Venable Avenue in Waverly about 6:30 p.m. and found a 49-year-old man who was shot in the hip and chin.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police also responded to a call just before noon in the 4300 block of Roberton Ave. in Parkside in Northeast Baltimore and found a 25-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
