Five shot within two hours Thursday

Five people were shot in Baltimore within about two hours on Thursday night, according to police.

At 8:46 p.m. police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Chesterfield Avenue in the Belair-Edison neighborhood where they found a 31-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and hand, police said. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in grave condition, according to police.

Due to the severity of the victim's injuries, homicide detectives are investigation and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.

At 9:45 p.m. officers responded to an area hospital for a call for two walk-in shooting victims. According to police, 55-year-old male had been shot in the arm, and a 56-year-old male had been shot in the buttocks. Investigators determined the shooting took place in the 500 block of E. Preston Street in Johnston Square.

Eastern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2433.

At 9:55 p.m. officers responded to a shooting at 3200 block of Lake Avenue, a third of a mile from the earlier Chesterfield Avenue shooting in Belair-Edison. A 14-year-old male had been in the arm, police said. He was transported to an area hospital where he is in stable condition, police said.

Northeast District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2444.

At 10:05 p.m. officers responded to the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue near Mondawmin Mall where a 19-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to the foot, according to police. He was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

Northwest District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2466.

The area south of Druid Hill Park, where the 19-year-old was shot, has been the site of several shooting deaths in the past six months, including the homicide of a 31-year-old last week.
