3 injured in shootings in Baltimore

A teen boy was shot just after midnight in the Saint Joseph’s neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore, police say.

At about 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a police statement, officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg in the 3300 block of W. Baltimore St.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available Saturday afternoon.

Later Saturday, police were called to a double shooting in the city’s Edgewood neighborhood.

At 4:44 p.m., officers went to the corner of Edmondson Avenue and Allendale Street for a shooting report, police said. They found a male victim who had been shot in the chest.

Officers then found a second victim who had been shot in the neck.

Both victims were unresponsive and taken to the hospital, where one was in critical condition Saturday evening. The victims’ ages were not released.
