17-year-old charged as adult in December shooting in Southwest Baltimore

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a 23-year-old man in Southwest Baltimore in December, police said Tuesday.

Teon Grant is accused of shooting the victim in the head, chest and forearm in a car in the 500 block of Wellesley St. in Gwynns Falls about 4:20 p.m. on Dec. 19, police said. No motive was given, and police have not released the victim’s name.

Grant was arrested Monday and charged as an adult with 10 criminal counts, including first- and second-degree attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and handgun violations, according to online court records.

No attorney was listed for him in court records, and a phone number listed for his address in the 6600 block of Eberle Drive was disconnected as of Tuesday.

Grant has been taken to Central Booking and is waiting to see a court commissioner, police said.
