A 25-year-old man suspected in a double stabbing that left a 60-year-old woman dead was arrested in New Jersey on Tuesday, Baltimore police said.
Raheem Newman will be charged with first degree murder, first degree attempted murder and multiple assault charges once he is extradited to Maryland, police said. His arrest is in connection with a double stabbing Monday in the 2500 block of W. Lafayette Ave.
Sharon Dorsey, 60, who was stabbed in her upper body, was pronounced dead at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. An 80-year-old woman was also stabbed and was in critical condition. She was not identified by police.
