Shots were fired near Calverton Elementary/Middle School Baltimore on Tuesday evening, according to schools officials.
City schools spokeswoman Edie House-Foster said the incident took place across the street from a school and that someone shot at a moving car. House-Foster said the incident took place somewhere on Whitmore Avenue but declined to provide further details, saying city police were handling the investigation.
Baltimore police spokesman Det. Jeremy Silbert said police got a call reporting the sound of gunshots at about 6 p.m. near Calverton, at 1100 Whitmore Ave., and said no victim was found at the scene.
It is unclear exactly where the incident took place or whether anyone was injured.
