Man shot in East Baltimore early Tuesday, police say

A man was shot in East Baltimore’s Milton Montford neighborhood early Tuesday, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

At about 1:50 a.m., police were called to a hospital to investigate a report of a walk-in shooting victim. The 26-year-old man had been shot in the back, and he told officers he was sitting in a vehicle in the 700 block of N. Rose St. when he was shot, according to police.

A 24-year-old Baltimore man was sentenced to 65 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in what prosecutors described as the mistaken identity killing of a Park Heights father.
