A man was fatally shot in West Baltimore on Sunday, police said.
Police found the 27-year-old man in the 1300 block of N. Monroe St. at about 1 p.m., police said. Officers patrolling nearby heard the gunfire.
The man, who was not publicly identified, was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment, but was later pronounced dead. Police had no more details and asked anyone with information to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
In a separate incident around 2:25 p.m, police were called to the 5600 block of Albanene Place in Northeast Baltimore for a traffic accident, but instead found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The incident took place near Moores Run Park and the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police had no more details.
