Baltimore Police were investigating at least five shootings that occurred Friday, including one that occurred mid-day on a busy commercial strip of North Baltimore and was caught on tape.
In that incident, police quickly released surveillance camera footage that showed a gunman walking up to the victim in front of a carryout and opening fire at point-blank range. It occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of York Road, near the intersection with Coldspring Lane.
The victim, who was not identified, was shot in the stomach and taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said. His injuries were considered life-threatening, and homicide detectives were assigned to the case.
Homicide detectives were also investigating a shooting in the 1900 block of Clifton Ave. in West Baltimore, where a 32-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head around 8:50 p.m., police said. The victim was listed in critical condition, and the case assigned to the homicide unit due to the severity of his injuries.

Police were also investigating two other non-fatal shooting incidents.
Around 6:25 p.m., a 35-year-old man reported that he had been inside a sedan service vehicle in the 4200 block of Audrey Ave. in Brooklyn when two suspects opened fire. The victim was struck in the left foot and taken to a hospital for treatment. The suspects were last seen fleeing in a four-door vehicle headed toward Anne Arundel County.
At about 8:50 p.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in the head in the 1900 block of Clifton Avenue in Mondawmin. He was taken to Shock Trauma where he is in critical condition.
Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting due to the seriousness of the man's injury.
Police were also investigating after two men walked into an area hospital after they were shot in Carrollton Ridge Friday morning, police said.
Earlier, sometime before 2 a.m., police say the 22-year-old and a 28-year-old men were also shot by an unidentified man in the 2000 block of West Pratt Street in the southern Baltimore neighborhood of Carrollton Ridge.
