One man was killed and three others were injured in shootings across the city Monday night, Baltimore police said.
Police said Sheldon Eubanks, 33, was shot multiple times shortly before 10 p.m. in the 1700 block McCulloh Street in Upton. Eubanks later died at an area hospital. A second victim, as 26-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
On Monday night, homicide detectives and crime scene technicians shone their flashlights in the rain at evidence markers placed on the sidewalk and the street, where the shooting took place.
Two neighbors approached the crime scene tape at McCulloh and Laurens streets to ask officers whether the victims were either of their brothers. The officers said they didn't know.
One of the women, Melodey Jackson, 47, said the shooting had put her "very much" on edge.
"It's dangerous, that's all I can say," she said.
Earlier in the evening, police responded to area hospitals for two separate walk-in shooting victims.
Police were called at 9:34 p.m. to a hospital where a 20-year-old man was shot in the back and a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg. Police said the shooting happed in the 2100 block Ashton Street in Carrollton Ridge.
Officers were called about 10 minutes earlier to a hospital for another walk-in shooting victim. Police said 25-year-old man was shot in stomach in the 600 block N. Castle Street, near Johns Hopkins Hospital in East Baltimore.
