3 shot overnight in Baltimore

Violence continued in Baltimore overnight leaving three people injured in separate shootings, police said Tuesday.

Officers were called at 9:50 p.m. Monday to the 4100 block of Brendan Avenue in the city's northeast community of Belair-Edison for a report of gunfire. Police said they later found a victim, a 20-year-old man who took himself to an area hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg. Northeast District Detectives are investigating and anyone with information may call 410-396-2444.

About an hour-and-a-half later, police were called at 11:38 p.m. to the 2000 block of Kennedy Avenue, about a block off of North Avenue in East Baltimore. Police said a 21-year-old man, who walked into an area hospital, was shot in the chest. Eastern District Detectives are investigating and anyone with information may call 410-396-2433.

A 4 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim, and determined the victim was shot in the 3000 block of S. Hanover Street. Detectives are investigating and anyone with information may call 410-396-2499.

On Sunday, ten people were reported shot including three who were shot to death in less than an hour, continuing a spike in violence following protests against the death of Freddie Gray. Gray died from injuries sustained while in police custody last month.
