Double shooting Sunday night; 10 shot in city since Friday

Two men were shot in the head in Mount Holly Sunday night, rounding out a violent weekend in which 10 people were shot in the city since Friday night, police said.

The victims in the double shooting Sunday were found in the 2000 block of Denison St. at about 7:17 p.m., police said. Their conditions were not immediately released, but homicide detectives were investigating. Anyone with information may call 410-396-2100.

Police are also investigating three shootings that took place late Saturday night.

Officers were dispatched at 1:45 a.m. Sunday to an area hospital, where they found a man being treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his leg. An investigation by Northern District detectives found the man was shot around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Beaumont Ave. following a dispute. Anyone with information may call 410-396-2455.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Aisquith St. for a report of a man shot in the arm. Investigators with the Eastern District determined the man was walking near the intersection of Greenmount Avenue and 33rd Street at 11:13 p.m., when he heard gunfire and was struck. Police responded at 11:24 p.m. to the 1500 block of Hollins St. for a report of gunfire. Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his head in the unit block of S. Gilmour St. Anyone with information may call 410-396-2499.

The victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment, police said.
