Baltimore police: Man, 23, walks into hospital for treatment of gunshot wound

A man walked into a hospital in need of treatment for a gunshot wound early Sunday morning, Baltimore police say.

At about 4:45 a.m., officers were called to an area hospital after a 23-year old man had arrived there and was being treated for a gunshot wound to his arm, according to a police statement.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was in the 5000 block of Harford Road when he was shot, he said to the officers.

Detectives are investigating the incident.
