Baltimore police have arrested an 18-year-old man for a non-fatal shooting in West Baltimore earlier this month.
Police have charged Antwaun Harris for shooting a 36-year-old man in the 2300 block of Calverton Heights on Nov. 7.
Harris, of the 300 block of Smallwood Street, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and related charges. He is being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.
The shooting occurred just before 8:25 p.m. Police found the victim with a gunshot wound to his chest, and he was taken to Sinai Hospital where he was last listed in serious condition.
Police identified Harris as a person of interest in the case. Several witnesses identified him as the suspect in a photographic arrays, according to charging documents.
Harris is scheduled to appear in court next month on motor vehicle theft and related charges. The assistant public defender representing Harris in that case could not be reached for comment.
Harris was on probation in the juvenile system for robbery during the time of the shooting, court documents said.
