Man shot in index finger outside West Baltimore liquor store

A 40-year-old man checked himself into a Baltimore hospital Sunday evening after he was shot in his right index finger, police said.

The man told officers he walked out of a liquor store in the Franklin Square neighborhood of West Baltimore when he heard gunfire and was shot. Detectives determined he was shot in the 300 block of N. Gilmor St. He checked himself into the hospital shortly after 7:30 p.m.
