East Baltimore man charged in shooting over dirt bike sale

A 21-year-old man from East Baltimore is charged with attempted murder after police said he shot another man in the forehead during the sale of a dirt bike last month.

Khoutney Woodard, of Barclay, was at an inmate evaluation center in Baltimore Wednesday awaiting transportation to Central Booking, police said. Online court records did not list his attorney.

Shortly before midnight on Aug. 3, police were called to the 2500 block of Christian St. in Southwest Baltimore for a shooting.

Officers found a 27-year-old man from Sykesville shot in his forehead.

Detectives learned the victim posted a dirt bike on Craigslist and came into Baltimore to sell the bike. There was a struggle and he was shot, police said.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
