City police charge 28-year-old man for Southwest Baltimore shooting

City police have charged a 28-year-old man in a Southwest Baltimore shooting earlier this month.

Police said Jerwell Hill shot a 30-year-old man in the 2800 block of Winchester Avenue in Southwest Baltimore on Sept. 17.

Police were called just before 7 p.m. where they found the victim who had been shot in the torso. Officers in the area found a vehicle that fled the shooting scene and a person of interest was taken into custody.

On Tuesday morning, warrant apprehension detectives arrested Hill, of the 4400 block of Moravia Road in Frankford.

Hill was taken to Central Booking where he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records.
