16-year-old charged in Carrollton Ridge shooting

Baltimore police have charged a 16-year-old for a shooting in Carrollton Ridge earlier this month.

Police arrested Tyeshawn Rivers on Tuesday and charged him with shooting a 22-year-old victim in the leg on July 10 in the 300 block of Fulton Avenue.

Rivers, who is charged as an adult with first-degree attempted murder and related offenses, is being held at central booking.

Baltimore police on Wednesday also announced the of arrest 28-year-old Vonchez Simms in connection to the shooting a 50-year-old man in the 3500 block of Caton Avenue on May 31.

Simms was arrested on Wednesday, and is being held at central booking.

Neither Rivers or Simms has attorneys listed in online court records.
