Man, 19, shot in downtown Baltimore

Police are investigating two overnight shootings, including one where a teen was shot downtown late Wednesday.

Just after 11 p.m., police responded to the Mondawmin Metro Station, where they found a 19-year-old man shot in the back. Detectives learned the man had been shot after an argument in the unit block of West Baltimore Street, police said. He then took the subway to the Mondawmin stop.

He was taken to an area hospital and his condition is not known, police said.

About an hour earlier, police in the Northeast District were investigating a shooting in the Loch Raven neighborhood.

The shooting took place around 10 p.m. in the 5900 block of Fenwick Avenue, police said. The man shot in his upper body and was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Police did not provide a motive or any information about suspects in either shooting. Anyone with information on the shootings may call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
