The man was shot in the 900 block of Jack Street in the Brookyln neighborhood at about 1:56 p.m., police said. Officers found the victim suffering from "gunshot wounds to the buttocks," police said.
The incident happened during a particularly violent month in Baltimore where there have been 31 homicide victims in July.
The city had not recorded 30 homicides in a month since the 1990s before having five such months last year. July is the first such month this year.
