A woman was killed and two men were injured in Baltimore shootings Saturday afternoon.
A 24-year-old woman arrived at MedStar Harbor Hospital at about 3:28 p.m. after being shot in the chest. Medical staff tried to save her but she died a short time after arriving.
Baltimore police homicide detectives learned the victim had been in a vehicle in the 600 block of Maude Avenue in the South Baltimore neighborhood of Brooklyn when someone got out of a brown or maroon Honda and opened fire on the woman's car, police said in a statement. Police said the suspect drove off after the shooting and remains at large.
Detectives are questioning witnesses, police said, but ask anyone with information to call (410) 396-2100.
About a half hour earlier, a 31-year-old man was shot in the leg in Southeast Baltimore.
Police officers driving in the 1400 block of E. Fayette St. heard gunshots at 2:55 p.m. and found the victim, who was wounded by a gunshot to the left leg.
The man was found in the 200 block of N. Caroline St. in the Dunbar-Broadway neighborhood. He was taken to a hospital and expected to survive, police said.
Also, at about 7:45 p.m., a 48-year-old man was shot in the lower abdomen in the 900 block of Bennett Place in Harlem Park in what may have been a robbery attempt, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
