A 33-year-old man who tried to fight off a robber was shot Monday night several blocks east of Patterson Park, police said.
The victim was conscious and breathing when hospitalized, police said.
About 9 p.m., he was walking in the 3400 block of Noble St., the Baltimore Highlands neighborhood. A young man approached with a gun and demanded money, police said.
The victim fought back and was shot in the stomach. The robber got in a car and drove off, police said.
