Four shot, two killed, in Baltimore

Man shot dead in Howard Park is city's eighth homicide in August.

At least four people were shot, two of them fatally, in Baltimore on Sunday, police said.

A 36-year-old man was shot to death in the 1000 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. in the Middle East neighborhood just before 5 p.m., police said. Responding officers found him with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

A 45-year-old man was killed in Howard Park Sunday morning, police said. He was shot multiple times shortly after 10:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. in the Northwest District of the city, police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A man was critically injured in a shooting in the 4500 block of Groveland Ave., in West Arlington, on the city's northwest side. Because of the seriousness of his injuries, Homicide detectives were investigating.

A mile and a half away and less than an hour later, a man was shot in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave., police said.

A 19-year-old was shot more than once just before 6 p.m. in the 3500 block of W. Franklin St., in Allendale, in Southwest Baltimore.

No suspects or motive information was announced Sunday. None of the surviving victims' conditions were released.
