Five shot in East Baltimore Wednesday

Five people were shot in East Baltimore Wednesday night in three separate incidents, police said.

In the first shooting, a 41-year-old man was shot in the leg. Officers were called at 8:18 p.m. for a report of a shooting in the 200 block of N. Caroline Street, in the Dunbar-Broadway neighborhood, police said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said. Southeastern District detectives are investigating.

A suspect and motive were not available.

Three people were shot around 10:36 p.m. in the 2200 block of Aisquith Street in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood, police said. At least 13 evidence markers were on the street at the crime scene. Police said more than 22 gun shell casings were found.

Police said the victims were a 22-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, an 18-year old female who was shot in the leg and a 22-year old male who was shot in the foot. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

A 16-year-old male was shot in the foot around 11:15pm officers responded to the 1600 block of Darley Avenue in the Darley Park neighborhood, police said. He was transported to an area hospital.
