Homicides reported in Sandtown-Winchester, Hollins Market

Baltimore police are investigating two daytime shootings that occurred Sunday in the city.

A man was shot multiple times around 2:40 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Carey Street in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood in West Baltimore, Baltimore police said. The man was pronounced dead just before 3 p.m.

About two hours later, at 4:47 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Lemon St. in the Hollins Market neighborhood after man was shot in the head while sitting inside a vehicle. Baltimore City Fire medics responded, but the victim was pronounced dead at 5:23 p.m., police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shootings, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2100.
