Two men were shot in separate incidents — and a third reported injuries from a Tuesday night shooting — in Baltimore Wednesday, police said.

At about 8 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot several times at Sidney Avenue and Kent Street in South Baltimore's Westport neighborhood, police said. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and due to the severity of his injuries homicide detectives were investigating, police said.

A 41-year-old man walked into a city hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder at about 7 p.m. and told police he was shot in the 1000 block of Broadway in the Gay Street section of East Baltimore. It marks the second shooting in that neighborhood in as many nights: A 31-year-old man was shot around the corner, in the 1500 block of E. Ward Ct., at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Detectives were investigating whether the two were related.

About two hours earlier, a 29-year-old arrived at a Baltimore County hospital with a nonfatal gunshot wound to his neck, police said. He told responding officers he was shot at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of Highview Ave. in Northeast Baltimore, police said.
