Man, 29, shot in groin in Rosemont

A 29-year-old man was shot in the groin Monday afternoon in West Baltimore, police said.

Officers responded at 3:21 p.m. to the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave. in the Rosemont Homeowners/Tenants section, where the man was found with a nonfatal gunshot wound, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Western District detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2477.

The shooting Monday followed two west side shootings over the weekend in the Mosher and Irvington neighborhoods, police said.

Officers were called just after 10 p.m. Sunday to the 300 block of Marydell Road for a shooting and found a man who had been shot in the face and shoulder. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the forearm at about 3:01 p.m. Saturday after being shot in the 2800 block of W. Lanvale Street, police said.

None of the victim's conditions were released, and police did not give any information on suspects or motives.
