Baltimore police have made an arrest in connection to an attempted rape from February.
Dennis Cooper, of the 4100 block of Fords Lane in Northwest Baltimore, is charged with attempted first-degree rape and related charges after police said he tried to rape a woman on Feb. 24.
Police said Cooper spotted the victim at the subway station at the intersection of E. Baltimore and President streets, and followed her to the 200 block of S. Eden Street where he allegedly assaulted and attempted to rape her.
The victim escaped and called police. Cooper had fled from the area but was arrested by officers with the department's warrant apprehension task force on Friday in Washington, D.C., police said.
Cooper has been extradited to Baltimore and is being held at Central Booking. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records.
