Police said he and another man attacked the victim, who is six months pregnant, in the 400 block of Bretton Place, when she was walking to work at about 7 p.m., police said. One of them ran up behind her and punched her in the head four or five times, then demanded her belongings when she fell to her knees, police said.

The woman emptied her purse onto the sidewalk, told the man she was pregnant and begged him not to hurt her any more, police said.

"B----, I don't give a [expletive]!" the man responded, according to the police report. "Don't make me get my Glock!"

He took her iPhone 4 and case, a Bank of America credit card and her keys, and then ran toward the 3700 block of Greenmount Ave., where his friend was keeping a lookout, police said.

The woman ran to the closest house on Bretton Place and called police. She was treated at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, and while she was in stable condition, she had several contusions and abrasions to the head, face and torso, police said.

Williams was detained as a suspect and charged after being identified in a photo lineup, police said.

Williams' charging documents were not filed to the online state database as of Monday night, and a phone number for his home was disconnected.
