Police also confirmed that a woman was shot at on Saturday night with a "high-powered rifle" and injured after the bullet struck debris that caused abrasions to her face.

The agency initially reported the shooting, which occurred in the 400 block of S. Bentalou St., as a graze-wound injury on its Twitter account at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday, then posted a message saying no victim had been found.

On Monday, police said a 22-year-old woman had reported being shot, but an examination by doctors showed her injuries were not from a bullet but likely debris when the bullet hit wood that was near her.

The agency separately counts shootings, and incidents where someone is shot at. All such cases are required to be reported to the FBI as aggravated assaults, however.
