A Baltimore police officer was charged this week with exchanging sexually explicit messages with a 15-year-old boy in Pennsylvania.
Officer Timothy Rae George III, 22, a member of the department for two years assigned to the Northeast District, was charged with dissemination of explicit materials to a minor, sexual abuse of a child, and unlawful contact with a minor in York County, Pa.
Northern York County Regional Police were called to the boy's house in Jackson Township after his father found the boy and George were having phone conversations on Sept. 21, according to court documents.
George, who lives in the 3200 block of Bayonne Ave. in Baltimore, was charged on Wednesday.
George and the boy had phone and text conversations, after meeting on Facebook at the end of August. George had attended a football game with the boy at Spring Grove High School in York County, the documents said.
The boy told police he had sent George a video of himself masturbating and pictures of himself. Police said George and the boy discussed the teen sending pictures and videos in phone conversations. They two also discussed marriage in the texts, police said.
The York police are not alleging sexual physical contact. The abuse charge relates to the video and pictures.
George has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the charges, a Baltimore Police Department spokesman said.
Reached by phone, George declined to comment on the charges.
