Two men shot, one fatally, in Baltimore on Sunday

One man was killed and another man injured in two separate shootings Sunday in Baltimore, police said.

According to police, a 28 year-old man was killed near Pimlico Race Course around 3:30 p.m. Police found him in the 5300 block of Denmore Ave. in Baltimore’s Arlington neighborhood, with bullet wounds in the head and back. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Just over two hours later, a 43-year-old man was walking near Coppin State University when an unidentified suspect demanded money from him then shot him in the leg, police said. Police found him in the 1800 block of Braddish Ave. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
