A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the death of a 2-year-old boy in January, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Jeremiah Amos, of Southwest Baltimore’s Lakeland neighborhood, was arrested March 8 for the killing of Trevor Graham, according to police.
At about 9:43 p.m. Jan. 26, officers responded to the 900 block of W. Fayette St. in Poppleton for a report of an unresponsive child. Graham was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Graham’s death a homicide March 1, and his cause of death was blunt-force trauma, according to police.
Amos, a friend of Graham’s family, was arrested in the 1900 block of Frederick Road, police said. He was charged with second-degree murder, first- and second- degree child abuse, and first- and second-degree assault, according to online court records.
A preliminary hearing for Amos is scheduled for April 9 in Baltimore City District Court. His public defender could not immediately be reached for comment.
