City police identify victims in two homicides

A 29-year-old man was identified as the victim of a fatal stabbing Thursday morning in Baltimore's Brooklyn neighborhood, police said.

Herson Hernandez, whose address was not provided, died after being stabbed at least once in the chest at 1:50 a.m. in the 3800 block of S. Hanover St., according to police. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

In a fatal shooting Monday, Lorne Stockton, 32, was identified as the victim. Police said Stockton was shot at 2:46 p.m. in the 2000 block of Denison St. in the city's Mount Holly neighborhood.

Stockton, who lived in the 2800 block of Parkwood Ave., was shot at least once in the chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
