Police on Monday identified a man who was killed in Northwest Baltimore this weekend as Daniel James Carter, 24.
Carter, of the 2000 block of Sinclair Lane in South Clifton Park, was shot multiple times at about 2:10 a.m. on Sunday in the 2300 block of McCulloh St. in the Penn North neighborhood, police said.
It was the second shooting in Penn North in less than a week. A 29-year-old man was shot in the back at Druid Hill Avenue and Cloverdale Road, less than half a mile away, on Christmas Eve, police said.
Police have not said whether the two shootings are connected, and no suspect or motive information was released in either case. Anyone with information in Carter's killing may call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
