Baltimore City Police investigate Christmas Day shooting, stabbing deaths

A man was fatally shot and another fatally stabbed in separate Christmas Day incidents in Baltimore.

Shortly before 4 p.m., Baltimore City Police were called to the 100 block of N. Montford Ave., near Patterson Park, for a report of a shooting. Officers found a man, whose identity has not been released, with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he died, according to police.

Homicide detectives investigating the shooting think the incident may have started as a robbery, with the victim being shot by an unknown suspect, police said in a statement.

Later, at about 4:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in the 2000 block of Bank Street in Southeast Baltimore.

A man found at the home with a stab wound in his back was taken to a hospital, where he died, according to police.

Detectives investigating the incident think the victim was stabbed during an argument, police said in a statement.

Baltimore City Police are also investigating a second, non-fatal shooting.

In that incident, a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his arm walked into a hospital Sunday morning. Police were called to investigate at 11 a.m., and have not yet been able to determine where the shooting occurred.
